Peter Niesen (born 10th February 1862) sets up the company as
a haulage company. One year later, he moves into his own house in
Wiesdorf, Hauptstr. 25, with stables and outhouses. |

The ultramarine factory Alfred Leverkus becomes its first contract
company. Peter Niesen is the first councillor on Wiesdorf's municipal
council. |

Peter Niesen acquires a branch of the Wicküler Küpper-Brauerei,
Elberfeld. |

To build the so-called Wiesdorfer Kolonie 1 and 2 (workers' housing
estates) belonging to the dye works, Niesen transports all road
construction material by horse and carriage. Niesen owns over 20
horses. |

Niesen purchases its first motor vehicle with chain drive, made
by Büssing. |
| 1912 |
"Bayer" moves its company headquarters from Elberfeld
to Leverkusen. The removal business gives the furniture transport
company a strong boost. |

Niesen transports explosive powder to the industrial Ruhr region
for Dynamit Nobel AG, bringing back with it glassware from the Gerresheimer
glassworks. |

Purchase of first motorised special vehicle for furniture transportation,
emblazoned with the name "Peter Niesen Wiesdorf/Köln"
in bold lettering. Maximum speed 28 km/h. |

The company founder retires and hands over his lifework to
his children Ernst and Maria. Based in the same location, the
company now operates under the name E. & M. Niesen.
Son Peter-Josef sets up the company Peter Niesen jun. specialising
in rail freight and furniture transportation. |

Company founder Peter Niesen dies. |
| 1954 |
After the death of Ernst Niesen, Maria Niesen continues to manage
E. & M. Niesen on her own for another 10 years. |

In Erftstrasse, in the Bürrig district of Leverkusen, the
company moves into a new heated warehouse equipped with lift and
ramp. |

Change of ownership: Peter and Manfred Niesen, the two sons of
Peter-Josef Niesen who died in 1977, set up Peter Niesen jun. KG
and take over E. & M. Niesen. A third location is acquired in
Ahrstraße, in Leverkusen's Bürrig district, for the fleet
of vehicles. |

Purchase of crane truck to move furniture through windows, machine,
